Philip Matesic is an American artist, born in Champaign, Illinois in 1983. He earned his MFA in Studio Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008, where he conducted extensive research on the social potentials of art.
Philip Matesic is currently living and working in Zürich, Switzerland. His interests include the observation and creation of small ruptures in the everyday social fabric, looking curiously close at his architectural surroundings and using photography to capture and magnify the mundane. Philip Matesic’s artwork includes urban interventions, workshops and conversations.
