Philip Matesic (*1983) is an American / Swiss artist, living and working in Zurich, Switzerland since 2009. He earned his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Social Practice at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008, studying closely with Dan Peterman. His performative, community-based, social art practice includes urban interventions, conversations and non-professional knowledge exchange as defining, relational forms. A defining project was the organization and moderation of 252 Theory Tuesdays sessions, from 2009 until 2025.
